FEEDING RECCOMENDATIONS

What's for dinner? Baby Himmies should be fed canned or boiled fish or chicken liver food 2-3 daily until they are six months of age. We suggest canned Iams. They should also have kitten dry food available at all times. We use Nutro dry kitten food. Felines can be fed the dry kitten food until they are about a year old.

Adults should also have dry food available at all times and they should also be given canned food once or twice daily. Feline Complete Care or HairBall Control dry food can be fed to adults. Kittens and lactating females again they should be fed Nutro Kitten dry food because they need the extra calcium and protein.

And, of course, fresh water should be available at all times.

Just like people don't want to eat the same meal every day forever, cats should be offered a varied diet. An occasional change in the canned food might enhance interest. However, changing the diet often can produce diarrhea, so this will need watching.

Cats cannot digest whole milk and it often causes diarrhea. If you want your cat to have milk, use evaporated or goat's milk.

Cats enjoy occasional table scraps, but they also need a balanced diet, so be sure fresh, dry food is available at all times.
