Potentially Fatal: Make sure if you take your cat for a visit to the vet, and for some reason needs to take anaesthetic, make sure that the anaesthetic does not contain acepromazine as this is attrituted to the loss to cardiomyopathy (heart). Yes, the heart stops beating because it will slow down too much to function by the wrong anaesthetic. These losses are tragic, devestating and unnecessary.
Our vet recommends : NO acepromazine
She recommends using the following anaesthesia:
Induction: IV Ketamine/Valium - 0.2ml/0.2ml
Intersation: Isoflurane or Sevo
